These Ouch! Beginner’s furry handcuffs are a pair of fur-lined cuffs joined by a small chain, with a quick-release button built into the lock. They are made for couples trying restraint for the first time: the fur keeps them comfortable on the wrists, and the release means nobody is stuck if the key goes missing.
They are a light, playful set of furry handcuffs rather than serious bondage gear. If that is what you want for a first try, they are about as easy as restraints get. If you already know you like to pull against your cuffs, look at the heavier options further down.

HOW THE QUICK-RELEASE WORKS
The furry handcuffs close with the usual ratchet and lock with the small key. Shots added a release button to the lock, so pressing it opens the cuff without the key. Show your partner where it is before you start, so either of you can end the scene in a second.
FIVE RULES FOR A FIRST HANDCUFF SCENE
- Pick a safe word, plus a hand signal in case speaking is hard.
- Close each cuff only until it stops sliding off: one finger should still fit between cuff and wrist.
- Cuff wrists in front of the body to start; behind the back puts more strain on shoulders.
- Never attach the chain to anything near the neck, and never leave a cuffed partner alone.
- Check hands every few minutes. Tingling, numbness, cold or colour change means cuffs off, now.
Our bondage for beginners guide goes further on consent and positions, and BDSM for beginners covers safe words and aftercare.
FURRY HANDCUFFS: COMMON QUESTIONS
What are fluffy handcuffs used for?
Mostly for light, playful restraint in the bedroom: one partner’s wrists are held while the other teases, kisses or takes the lead. They are also a classic bachelorette or costume prop. They are a gentle way to find out whether being tied up does anything for you.
What are soft handcuffs?
Cuffs with a padded or furry lining, so the metal never sits directly on your skin. These furry handcuffs have a soft fur lining and a short chain between the two cuffs.
How do you use handcuffs with a partner safely?
Agree on a safe word first, close the cuffs only far enough that you can slide a finger between cuff and wrist, and never leave a cuffed partner alone. Keep the key nearby even though these have a quick-release button, and take them off straight away if hands tingle, go cold or change colour.
Do these furry handcuffs need a key?
They lock like regular handcuffs, but Shots built in a quick-release button, so they open even if the key is lost. That is why they are sold as beginner’s cuffs.
Can you sleep in furry handcuffs or wear them for hours?
No. Use them for a scene, not overnight: wrist cuffs press on nerves and circulation if they stay on too long or are pulled against.
More cuffs, from silicone to heavy-duty leather, are under cuffs and restraints, and the wider kink section has blindfolds, paddles and ropes.
