WATER-BASED FOR ANAL: WHY THAT MATTERS
A water-based anal lube works with every toy, including silicone plugs and vibrators, and washes away without soap. The trade-off is that water-based lubes can dry out faster than silicone, which is why pjur added a higher concentration of hyaluron to this one. Reapply whenever it starts to feel less slippery.
HOW PJUR SAYS TO USE IT
- Apply the amount you need to the anus and to the toy, penis or fingers.
- With a condom, put the condom on first and apply the lube to the outside.
- Add more as needed: anal play needs more lube than you think.
- Wipe up drips; pjur warns that it makes smooth surfaces slippery.

PJUR BACK DOOR: COMMON QUESTIONS
Is pjur Back Door water-based or silicone?
This one is water-based: pjur calls it pjur BACK DOOR Moisturising. pjur also makes silicone-based Back Door versions with jojoba, which are different products.
Can I use it with silicone toys?
Yes. pjur says it is suitable for all erotic toys, including anal toys, because it is water-based.
Is it condom-safe?
Yes, pjur says it is compatible with condoms. Put the condom on first, then apply the lube to the outside.
What makes it good for anal?
pjur gave it a higher concentration of hyaluron (sodium hyaluronate), which binds moisture, for longer-lasting lubrication. The anus doesn’t make its own lubrication, so a long-lasting glide helps.
Does it numb?
No. The ingredient list has no numbing agent. Pain during anal sex is a sign to slow down or stop, not something to mask.
Is it flavoured or scented?
No. pjur makes it without perfume or added flavours.
