Most bed restraints need posts, a headboard or rails to tie onto. This one uses the bed itself. The strap runs across the frame or box spring under the mattress, so the mattress weight pins it down, and the strap ends come out wherever you want the cuffs.

That means the Under the Bed Restraint System works on platform beds, divans and beds with no headboard at all. Pull the ends out at the corners for a four-point spread, or bring them out along the sides and foot of the bed for different positions.

1. Lift the mattress on one side and lay the center strap across the frame or box spring.
2. Lower the mattress back down so it sits on top of the strap.
3. Pull the ends out at the corners or sides where you want the cuffs.
4. Attach the cuffs and adjust the strap length so there’s a little slack, not a stretch.
5. Fasten the cuffs snugly with the hook and loop, leaving room for one or two fingers underneath.

How do you install an under the bed restraint system?
