Lovense Vulse Thrusting and Vibrating Egg

The Lovense Vulse is an egg vibrator that thrusts. Once it is inside, the bulb moves in and out on its own, up to 120 strokes a minute over about 10 mm, while it vibrates at the same time. You don’t have to move it or hold it, and you control it from the free Lovense Remote app or hand that control to a partner.

It is for people who find that vibration alone doesn’t do much for them inside and want a sense of motion instead. It is not a discreet out-and-about toy: Lovense says so itself, because the mechanism is louder than a Lush and the bulb can shift when you stand and walk.

Most love eggs only vibrate. The Lovense Vulse has one motor that drives a short stroke inside the silicone bulb, and the accordion-style ridges let the bulb lengthen and shorten as it moves. You set it on one of 3 steady levels or a pattern, and the vibration rides on top of the movement.

Because the movement and the vibration share that single motor, they speed up and slow down together. If you want to choose each one separately, the Lovense Vulse will feel limited. If you just want the feeling of being moved inside while you lie back, that is exactly what it is built for.

1. Charge it fully on the magnetic cable (about an hour).
2. Install Lovense Remote, switch the toy on and pair it over Bluetooth.
3. Use a water-based lube; Lovense says the Vulse is only compatible with water-based lube.
4. Start on the low steady level lying down: the bulb is easier to keep in place that way than standing up.
5. Save the levels you like into the pattern slots, or let a partner take over with a control link.

After use, wash the Lovense Vulse with warm water and mild soap and spend a moment on the ridges of the bulb, which Lovense says need extra attention. If you won’t use it for a while, Lovense suggests a full charge every six months to keep the battery healthy.

Is the Lovense Vulse waterproof?

Yes. Lovense rates it IPX7, so it can go in the bath or shower and be rinsed under the tap. Dry the magnetic charging contacts before you plug it in.

How loud is the Lovense Vulse?

Lovense measured 62.5 dB on low and 65.9 dB on high. That is louder than a Lush, because the thrusting mechanism makes its own sound, so Lovense itself calls it a toy for private or long-distance play rather than wearing out.

How long does the battery last?

Up to about 65 minutes (Lovense lists 1.08 hours), and a full charge takes about an hour on the magnetic USB cable. Standby is up to 120 hours.

Can I use the Lovense Vulse without the app?

Yes. The button gives you basic functions without a phone. The 3 steady levels, the patterns, sound and music sync and partner control need the free Lovense Remote app; there is no subscription.

Can my partner control it from another city?

Yes. In Lovense Remote you can send a control link, and the toy then runs over your phone’s data or Wi-Fi rather than Bluetooth range.

Vulse or Lush 4: which should I get?

Get the Lovense Vulse if you want internal movement, a short in-and-out stroke you don’t have to make yourself. Get the Lush 4 if you want stronger, quieter vibration and a toy that stays put while you walk around.
