The Tantus Trip 2 Tawse is a 17 in silicone impact toy with two broad tongues for long, wide strokes and a heavily textured handle that doubles as a dildo. Silicone transmits energy well, so it takes little force to land hard, and the whole toy can be sterilised.

What is a tawse?

A strap split into tongues at the end. Tantus notes they were used for corporal punishment in Scottish schools until 1987.

How intense is the Trip 2 Tawse?

Tantus warns that a tawse can be very intense and that silicone makes it more so, because it carries energy well. Start with light strokes.

How long are the tongues?

Tantus’s spec list gives 8.75 in long and 1.6 in wide; its description says 10 in long and 1.5 in wide. Total length is 17 in.

Can the handle be used inside?

Tantus says the textured handle works for blunt impact and as a dildo for internal use. Clean it thoroughly between uses.

Two tongues or four?

Trip 2 has two broad tongues for wide strokes; the Tawse It Overboard has four narrow, dense ones.
