The We-Vibe Ditto+ instructions are short and cautious, which is right for a first plug:

1. Charge it first (about 90 minutes). The light blinks fast while charging and stays on when it’s full.
2. Put water-based lube on the plug and on your anus. Not enough lube can tear the delicate skin.
3. Insert the We-Vibe Ditto+ slowly, giving the muscles time to relax and stretch without pain.
4. Switch on with the control button, or from the remote, and press again to move through the 10 modes.
5. To take it out, relax and pull gently on the base.

We-Vibe also warns against using the We-Vibe Ditto+ after alcohol or drugs, or with numbing creams, since they hide the pain that tells you to stop. The We-Vibe Ditto+ remote is paired out of the box, so there’s nothing to set up. To use the We-Vibe App instead, hold the control button for 5 seconds to reset it, start pairing in the app, then hold the button until the plug buzzes twice. Three buzzes mean it’s connected. It pairs with one remote or one phone at a time, so to go back to the remote you leave the app and re-pair (hold the plug’s button and the remote’s We-Vibe button for 5 seconds each).

Choose the We-Vibe Ditto+ for a small, simple plug with a remote. Choose the Edge 2 if you want an adjustable toy aimed at the prostate and perineum. More are in our anal vibrators.

Can a partner control it from far away?

Yes. Pair the We-Vibe Ditto+ with your phone in the We-Vibe App, then choose Long distance play and send your partner an invite. Their app controls the plug through your phone.

What lube should I use?

We-Vibe recommends a water-based lube. Don’t use silicone-based lube on the We-Vibe Ditto+, and avoid perfumed or alcohol-based lubes, gels and massage oils. Don’t use numbing sprays or creams either, since pain is the signal to slow down.

How do I clean it?

We-Vibe asks you to disinfect it straight after each anal use: wash it with warm water and soap or a toy cleaner. Never move the We-Vibe Ditto+ from anal to vaginal use without cleaning it first. It’s IPX7 waterproof, but the remote is only splashproof.

What battery does the remote use?

It depends on the version: one We-Vibe remote takes a CR2032 coin cell, the other a 4LR44. Pull off the bottom cap to change it, and keep coin cells away from children.
