The Bathmate Hydromax7 is a water-based penis pump: instead of pumping air, you fill the clear polycarbonate cylinder with warm water and pump the water out, which creates the vacuum. Bathmate describes the Hydromax line as the “big brother” of the Hydro, with 35% more power and extra comfort features.
Water pumps are used in the bath or shower, and they are more forgiving than air pumps because water spreads the pressure. They still need to be used carefully. Below is Bathmate’s own routine, its limits, the size question, and how the Hydromax7 compares with the other pumps we stock.

Bathmate lists a high-grade, impact-resistant polycarbonate vessel, a Super Flow Latch Valve for one-handed filling in the shower, a removable comfort insert and a 2-year warranty on all hydropumps.
Will it fit?
Size is the most common mistake with Bathmate. Retailers list the Hydromax7 for roughly 5 to 7 inches long and up to 6.5 inches in girth; Bathmate’s own chart is an image we can’t quote exactly, so check it before buying if you are near either edge. Too small a cylinder will press at the end; too large won’t seal well.
Bathmate’s routine, step by step
- In the bath or shower, close the valve, take out the comfort insert if you like, and fill the cylinder with warm (not hot) water.
- Insert the flaccid penis with the testicles outside the seal, press the pump firmly against your body and angle it slightly upwards.
- Pump gently to a comfortable maximum. Comfortable is the limit, not the target.
- Hold for up to 3 minutes, then release by pressing the clear valve cap.
- Repeat up to two more times. Keep the whole session under 15 minutes.

Hydromax7 questions
Who is the Hydromax7 for?
Bathmate’s size chart is an image, but retailers list the Hydromax7 for about 5 to 7 inches in length and up to 6.5 inches in girth. If you are larger, look at a bigger Bathmate size.
How long should a session be?
Bathmate’s routine is up to 3 minutes per pump, repeated up to three times, with the total workout not exceeding 15 minutes. It also says to limit use to 5 days a week.
Can I use it dry?
No. The Hydromax is a water pump: you fill it with warm, not hot, water in the bath or shower.
Is it safe for beginners?
Bathmate says it is safe for first-time users when used as directed. Don’t over-pump: too much suction risks injury, and overdoing it can cause temporary swelling or reduced sensitivity. Ask a doctor first if you have a medical condition.
What is the warranty?
Bathmate lists a 2-year warranty on all its hydropumps.
